美國寫實派繪畫大師魏斯（Andrew Wyeth）（右上圖）16日睡夢中於費城附近的查德斯福
特（Chadd's Ford）家中過世，享壽91。
魏斯幼時體弱多病，父母讓他在家學習。繪畫啟蒙來自知名插畫家父親，最知名作品「克
莉絲汀娜的世界」（Christina's World）（右下圖），完成於1948年。畫中女子患有小
兒麻痺，魏斯描繪她在緬因州麥田爬行的情景，畫面呈現的孤寂與堅強讓世人備受感動，
讓魏斯一舉成名。她日後亦持續擔任魏斯的模特兒。
