這部分倒是可以肯定野分的表現絕對不是被秒殺，反而在不斷地迴避運動中還有給予一些反擊美軍指揮官還說反擊的炮火讓他以為他再跟巡洋艦戰鬥只有少數驅逐艦看出來原本是艘驅逐艦，但因為那時野分已經被炸到不成艦型被認為是一艘照月/朝潮/吹雪級驅逐艦
